SUMMER 2023 PRACTICE SHEDULE

HCHS notified all renters a week ago that the pool would be unavailable this summer due to re-construction issues with the new facility.

Since being notified with this information I have secured summer practice time with the 5 Seasons Family Sports Club located at

6901 S. Madison St., Burr Ridge, IL

It is only a couple of minutes from Central High

They have 2 - 1meter and 1 - 3meter boards in a separate well

Summer practices will begin June 5th and run through July and August

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7-9 PM

(No practices 6/19, 6/26 and 7/3)

THEY WILL REQUIRE A SIGNED WAIVER FROM EACH ATHLETE TO ENTER THEIR FACILITY

THAT WAIVER WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AS WE GET CLOSER TO JUNE

It is my intention to use the Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays to plan a practice to 

Meineke Pool in Schaumburg

This facility has 2 - 1meters, 2 - 3meters and 5, 7, and 10 meter platforms

pictures are on our CLUB TEAM page

this will not increase your dues and is totally optional

I am also working on trampoline training with a spotting rig to be available 

on opposite Meineke days

On another note----Coach Peter's last day with us was last Wednesday. 

Some of you may have noticed at the Regional meet that he was involved with 

the organization of the judging panels for the meet

Peter is a certified FINA Judge and has gained a passion for these judging responsibilities

over the last year as he was increasingly traveling the country to judge meets

He wants to put a full time effort towards this so will have no time to coach moving forward

I, AND ALL POOL RENTAL GROUPS MET WITH HC ADMINISTRATION YESTERDAY

TO FINALIZE POOL SCHEDULING FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR

Our biggest obstacle is sharing time with Water Polo

I knew going in we would lose time in the negotiations

My goal was to maintain Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

(I think I will play the lottery) - I'm happy to say we got exactly that!!

So,  starting the week of Aug. 29th our schedule will be Mon. thru Wed.

at our same time - 7-8:30 PM - from now thru December 29th, 2022.

I have adjusted the calendar 

Also - I have renewed our AAU Club Membership for 2023

Our new 2023 club code is W377D5

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR ATHLETE RENEWALS FOR 2023

Please renew before September 1st and attach to our new code

HINSDALE CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION HAS SENT ME A NOTICE OF REPAIRS TO THE POOL

STARTING ON JULY 15TH, 2022!

These are repairs to the deck and tiles, so they have no indication to the length of time for the shut down. Obviously, work must be completed before Girls IHSA Swim & Dive begins, so my hope is we will be back in by early August

I have adjusted the fee schedule for July on the website to reflect reduced monthly dues!

You will see this choice on the pull down for the Club Team

If you already paid for July you can expect a refund!

I apologize for this, but had no knowledge of these plans prior to last Thursday

SO EXCITED TO START OUR POST COVID LEGACY!!

Here are some answers to questions you may have as we begin practices at a new location

Where to park? Lots on the East side of the building

Where to drop off? Bus turn around off of 57th St.  

Where to enter the building?

 Follow the outdoor path along & behind the baseball field to the West entrance to the pool

Parents are allowed to watch Practice/Lessons from the pool balcony

Diver's code of conduct - Treat the facility with respect - as if it were your own!!

Emergency procedures

FIRE - leave the pool deck area and meet with participants in the Stadium, listen for exterior announcements for all clear.

WEATHER - Leave the Natatorium and head back to the interior hallway by the athletic office.

LOCKDOWNS - Use the locker rooms or leave the building by the pool deck and head west to the Stadium to leave the property.
